The community of Yungilla has worked since 1995 in its community organization and environmental conservation. The result of this venture is the Conservation and Sustainable Use Area of Yungilla, which protects 3000 ha of cloud forest. The landscape is characterized by the presence of orchids and bromeliads.
The community offers several sustainable products such as jams free of additives, which support the development of women in the area and cheeses made by young people of Yunguilla. Additionally, the community works in a community garden for the production of vegetables and tubers.
As for tourism, several packages are offered, such as the community tour, hiking along the Yumbos trail, bird watching and adventure tours.
