                                                The gaps in butter openings, El Garzal, Mapancillo and San Juan are seasonal, approximately during eight months of the year the volume they house begins to descend towards the end of October and November. During the rainy season the volume of water floods approximately 5 to 8 meters deep with meanders up to a hundred meters wide, the overflow of the river Vinces, Quevedo, and Puebloviejo feed this great plain with topography of varied reliefs between 20 and 30 m.
