Vilatuna waterfall Rumipamba
Its name remembers a traditional surname of the locals and is linked to countless legends and traditions. During the journey we can admire a sequence of waterfalls such as the veil of the bride, the mantle of the Virgin, the Pailón of the Devil, Vilatuña. Throughout the journey you will be amazed and enjoy its lush vegetation. Here you will find species of animals typical of the Andean wastelands, which will captivate your attention.
To provide ease and security to the tourist, the municipal government has implemented bridges that allow crossing from one side to the other in the River Pita, where you can see the collapse of the waters of the waterfall of Vilatuña and the great waterfall of the pita.
Sector El Vallecito, 17 kilometres from the city of Sangolquí, on the site called La Caldera, for admission, the concrete bridge of the sector must be taken as a reference point, taking the path of the left side, following the path of the river Pita downstream.
