The Rocódromo de la Vicentina is the training area for athletes in the province. It is made up of several climbing walls for all levels. The infrastructure serves professional athletes and the general public. There are also ongoing courses for adults and children.
The climbing wall is open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. For the general public it is open from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm from Monday to Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The value is $ 5 per person and it is necessary to have all the equipment. They also rent equipment at a value of $ 1 to $ 2 depending on the accessory.
For continuing classes ($ 35 per month) with instructor there are schedules for adults and children and they start every month (equipment must be brought). For adults, the schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. For children on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There is also another schedule for children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Sometimes the climbing wall has competitions, therefore those days is not open to the public and there are no classes either. Check previously if your visit is casual.
To get to the place is very simple. The climbing wall is in front of the closed sports Coliseum in the Vicentina neighborhood. From the Marshal or the historical center a taxi for $ 3 dollars is the maximum limit.
