Sulphurous lagoon
The Lagoon is located next to the community of Agua Blanca in the Machalilla National Park, inside a tropical dry forest in the center of Manabí. This lagoon is between 1.2 to 4 m deep and is feed from volcanic springs. The water has been attributed with healing properties.
There are tours departing from Puerto Lopez and other cities in Manabí. You should arrange transportation because there are no regular buses. From Puerto Lopez is a 20 min drive, after which you would have to walk a short distance to arrive to the lagoon.
