Santo Domingo is the capital city of the Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas Province, it is a very important point for commerce and terrestrial transport, it has hectic life style which might not be very attractive for a visitors. However, there are some interesting places to see.
Visiting the Tsáchila Nation, which gives its name to the province, is undoubtedly the most popular activity for visitors. There are eight Tsáchilas communities to which you can enter without for free; there you can experience from first hand the customs, traditions, food and lifestyles of this interesting and distinctive nation of Ecuador.
Other places worth visiting include: The Botanical Garden Father Julio Marrero, the Commune San Vicente del Nila, El Buen Pastor Cathedral and the Shrine of Bombolí.
It is recommended to avoid 3 de Julio Street, especially after dark.
Much of bus routes that connect the North Sierra Region with the North Central Coast pass through the city of Santo Domingo. Therefore, it possible to take a bus from the bus stations in Quito, Guayaquil, Esmeraldas, Atacames, Chone, Manta, Portoviejo, Ambato, Latacunga.

-Community Chiguilpe (7km on the road to Quevedo)
-Community Ontongo Mapali (7km on the left + 15km from the city of Santo Domingo)
-Community Peripa (6Km to Quevedo, on the right + 9Km to Puerto Limon)
-Community Poste (4km to Quevedo, on the right + 13Km)
-Community Bua (2 km to Quinindé, on the right + 15Km)
-Community Congoma (14Km to Quevedo, on the right + 12Km)
-Filomenta Tahuasa (6Km via Quevedo + 18Km via Puerto Limon)
-Community Naranjos (26Km via Chone)
