San Pablo beach near Salinas

SANTA ELENA-SANTA ELENA

                                                Moving along the road towards km. 15, the fishing population of Sao Paulo will refind it with the blue of the sea, hundreds of fishing boats, artisan nets loaded with all kinds of fish and hundreds of birds fluttering through the blue sky. In this village you will appreciate the vernacular architecture in its thatched guadua houses.

The beach in this area is very crowded by the tourists who in their wide sands can rest, sunbathe and enjoy the practice of all the sports of the shorebirds.

In season of great tourist influx the beach is filled with kiosks, tents and football and volleyball courts.

The sea is hectic, but with caution the swimmers can enjoy their saline waters.

At dusk they return the boats of fishermen satisfied with the work of the day, and the tourists can participate of all the task of beaching the boats and emptying the crowded nets.

On the right side of the road have installed a lot of laboratories of shrimp larvae, so on the beaches always distinguish the presence of the known "Larveros" that with their artisanal nets are dedicated to the fishing of these coveted species.
