Picturesque village located in the docks of a branch of the Cordillera Occidental. The irregular topography that this song presents gives its capital a cosy look, with steep streets and houses built in slopes, amidst hills and valleys. It is a very religious people, two great shrines raised in these lands attest to this.
San Miguel shows special dedication to the breeding of Brava cattle. The bullfights carried out in this city are renowned. On its slopes is the Battle of "Camino Real" between conservatives and liberals, during the first stage of the Republic.
From Guaranda you take the road to Balzapamba, in the direction of the coast, approximately to 20 min you will find San Miguel. The bus line ten of November makes the route to this population from Guaranda.
