The second largest city in Carchi province, was declared by UNESCO on November 11, 1992 as a national patrimony for the colonial facade of its constructions. Also known as the city of Eternal Spring is located in the South East sector of Carchi Province, 40 km. of Tulcán.
By vehicle or public transport from the city of Tulcan by the Pan-American Highway to approximately 50 min of route.
