Samanes Park, also known as Samanes Ecological Park, is a park located in the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, whose first phase was inaugurated in January 2013.1 In its entirety it will have an area of 851 hectares, which makes it the third Largest park in Latin America
The park has 57 fields of different disciplines such as: tennis, basketball, volleyball, handball, synthetic soccer for children and adults, among others.
The sports spaces can be used free of charge during every day, between 07:00 and 17:00. As the only requirement, citizens must present the card.
The use of the courts is free. In the central road, tents work to reserve them. One of the users must approach, present the identity card and be accompanied at least with a group of 10 people, in the case of soccer, índor and multiple uses. The time of use is one hour and the players must carry the ball.
Citizens seeking more demanding distractions from the everyday came yesterday to the area of Forest Reserve Paths Samanes Park, to enjoy the climbing wall and canopy towers. Yesterday these spaces were reopened that now are in charge of a new concessionaire.
These areas are in front of the complex of courts of the first stage of Samanes, at the foot of Francisco de Orellana avenue.
At the climbing wall, visitors can ascend climbing up to 14 meters. The cost to upload is $ 2.
The most adventurous citizens can be launched from the two canopy towers, which have a distance of 250 meters. The cost is $ 3. (I)
Admission by bicycle has an access road through Francisco de Orellana Avenue; By car, the entrance is through Parque avenue, through Isidro Ayora and Teodoro Alvarado Oleas. There are a total of 660 parking spaces.
In addition to the two soccer fields next to the Christian Benítez stadium, Samanes Park now has a lagoon area with more green areas, playgrounds and three small lakes. The largest lagoon has room to rent pedal boats (the 25-minute ride costs $ 4) and the others can feed the fish with chairs around.
The Gran Vía crosses the entire park and has several fountains, as well as a 2.5-kilometer jogging track and a 2.9-kilometer bike path.
