Rotonda Hall - Simon Bolivar and San Martin monument
La Rotonda is the monument erected to commemorate the encounter of Simon Bolivar and San Martin in 1822. Bolivar was the leader of the independence wars in the north of South America and San Martin of the southern countries. The roundabout is located on the intersection of 9th of October Av and the Malecon Simon Bolivar Av. It presents the statue of the two generals shaking hands and surrounded by pillars and small water fountains.
