Also commonly known by the name of Jervis in honor of a British Admiral John Jervis, Count of Saint Vincent. Rábida is 5 kilometres south of Santiago Island and is considered the geographic centre of the Galapagos.
Rábida is one of the most varied volcanic islands. Geologically composed of eroded hills and lava emitted by splashes of cones that have resulted and created the island of colors. It is an uninhabited island, where you can enjoy its exceptional natural and animal beauty.
The island has a path that you will have to climb in a zigzag walk between Opuntia cactus and Palo santo trees that also cover the volcanic peak of the island. The trail follows and takes you to a gorge from where you have an incredible view of Rocky Bay. Here you can enjoy an amazing sunset at the end of the afternoon.
From Puerto Ayora by boat 5 km south of San Cruz Island, on arrival to the island you will have to make a wet landing.
