The temple is preceded by a large atrium as a traditional element of the liturgy, very usual in the churches of the Christian world. A neatly rectilinear gabled roof is the culmination of a longitudinal nave and two towers protruding above the whole of the church.
These towers each have a bell tower and culminate in point. The façade with its towers constitutes the most distinguished monumental expression of this urban center.
This temple is attached to the Central Park called, Luìs F Vivero, on its western side, consists of an atrium built in stone; In its central part it opens a fan composed of five stone stairways (andesite) towards the park, typical configuration of the Ecuadorian Baroque. The temple has a Visigoth configuration, sober in straight lines, its main facade of blue quarry stone with four carved pilasters, surmounted by a spacious lintel that must have been the original structure and on this one, there is now a new construction of the same material in triangular form, observing a large window covered with glass.
