Prince Philips Steps - Genovesa island Galapagos

                                                El Barranco o Prince Philips Steps is one of the attractions of the island Genoese. The visit in this place begins with a picturesque inflatable boat ride along the cliffs of the island, then the visitors will have to climb about 25 meters down a path of stone steps to the top of the cliff, climb up the stone stairs is very easy and there is also a handrail that will help you to maintain the balance.

This site was named in honor of Prince Felipe who visited the island Genoese in Galapagos during the years 60. Along the way you will see many colonies of seabirds.

When you get to the top of the road the expedition continues into the island passing through a forest of tree Palo Santo at the end of which you will see a lava field to the west, this lava field is full of storm swallows and short-eared owls.
