Portovelo city Ecuador
The scenery offered by Portovelo is one of the most beautiful in Ecuador. Mountains, plains, valleys, rivers, lagoons and an extraordinary combination of colors in the vegetation.
Portovelo has several rivers, but two are preferred by tourists, the river San Luís and Pindo both possess crystalline waters that run hard by the rugged terrain, always leave spaces to swim and enjoy a beautiful picnic.
The foreign miners named Portovelo when they found topographical similarity with the port of Panama.
From Quito: At the Quitumbe ground terminal, you can take a direct bus to the city of Portovelo. City of Pineapple Transport cooperatives, TAC Co-op and pilgrimage transport, with daily departures.
