Plaza island - Galapagos

GALAPAGOS-SANTA CRUZ

Squares are actually two islands, although visitors only disembark in Plaza Sur, the largest of the two. The flora and fauna all over this island will leave you speechless! Groups of sea lions will welcome you, and a few steps from the seashore you will see inside a scene of the movie Jurassic Park watching the green iguanas yellow and orange prowling the cactus (their main food) and chewing the thorny flowers.

It is amusing to see the relationship of these iguanas with the sea lions, although the latter sometimes go from playful, dragging to water or rolling over them.

Following the same path, you will reach the paradise of birdwatchers. A sheer precipice full of rabihorcadas gulls nesting, masked, blue-footed, tropicbirds piquirrojos, frigates, pelicans, and Audubon Shearwaters. The Seagulls, who have a couple for life, spend their time snugglinging and stroking each other, a good lesson that we should all learn.

This island is a wonderful place with golden beaches, green scrubs and cactus with a beautiful blue sea as a backdrop. It's beautiful! Diving with snorkeling is also fun here. Try to stay away from the sea lions, and enjoy the beautiful fish you will see in its crystal clear waters.
