Mindo - Nambillo forest

PICHINCHA-S. MIGUEL BANCOS

This forest encloses lush vegetation with a wide variety of species, birds and cascades of crystalline waters that feed important hydrographic systems. This protective forest is limited by the Mindo Mountains and the Nambillo mountain range.

There are many options for the adventure, but one of the main is directed towards the River Mindo, a tributary of pure water that jumps between giant rocks that once expelled the volcano bus Pichincha.

The protective forest has about 19 200 ha and is located near the town of Mindo, 50 km west of the western flank of the Pichincha volcano.
