Machachi city - Ecuador
Machachi is an Ecuadorian city, capital of the canton Mejía in the province of Pichincha. It is located approximately 40 minutes south of Quito, a city with which it maintains geographical, historical and population links, since its economic, social and commercial activity is strongly linked to Quito, being "dormitory city" for hundreds of people who cross to Quito by land.
It has been famous for its mineral water slopes rich in free carbonic acid, which has long been bottled for consumption by Ecuadorians. Its excellent pasture fields for the production of excellent dairy cattle, is part of which the haciendas of the sector offer to the visitors in the new concept of openness to agrotourism, an interesting way to know the idiosyncrasy of the Chagra.
In private vehicle or public transport from the city of Quito by the AV Libertador Simón Bolívar and Carr 35/Carr. Panamericana towards Machachi, approximately 1 h of travel.
