                                                The region between San Miguel de los Bancos and Pedro Vicente Maldonado is predominantly agricultural and livestock and alternates with primary and secondary forests. They enliven the landscape waterfalls and a great number of rivers. The kindness of nature provides has encouraged tourism and consequently the establishment of a number of tourist services that offer varied activities. The flowers in particular the heliconias, exotic fruits such as Borojo, Arasha, Pitajaya, Naranjilla, pineapple, and the extensive plantations of palmetto and Macadamia are some of the products provided by these lands. The area of the banks is known for their production of dairy, variety of fresh cheese, semi mature, ripe and leaf, can be purchased in the region.
