(10 meters high, $2pp)
The Latas waterfall is on the way to Misahualli, 10 km from Tena. It is a wonderful waterfall where you can take a deserved bath that refreshes after a walk of around 40 minutes through the Amazon rainforest. You can access the back of the waterfall and feel its magnificent waterfall.
Occasionally when it has rained a lot, water is abundant and dangerous to reach the waterfall so they do not allow passage.
It can be reached from Misahualli or from Tena ($ 0.5, 30 min). Tell the driver to leave you at the Latas waterfall. The waterfall is located in the middle of the road between Misahualli and Tena. The buses depart every 30 minutes from 6am until 8pm from the central park of Misahualli.
Once in the private property, the entrance is paid ($ 2 foreigners, $ 1.5 local, 0.50 children). You walk uphill for about 40 minutes to get to the waterfall. When it rains the road is muddy and you need to cross the small river where it is inevitable to wet your shoes.
