Las grietas and the Germans' Beach are two very popular places among bathers. They are located on the south west side of the bay of Puerto Ayora and connected by the same path (not paved) that takes visitors first through the Germans' Beach and continues towards Las Grietas.

LAS GRIETAS
Las grietas are rock formations and of volcanic origin of great scenic beauty. This site is very popular with bathers and adventurers who love diving, and who seek to cool off in its clear and calm waters.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Due to the strong equatorial sun it is recommended to use sunscreen, wear a hat or hat and bring water to hydrate. In addition, the path is not paved so it is recommended to wear shoes or sandals.
From the passenger pier of Puerto Ayora it is necessary to take an Aqua-Taxi that will transport visitors to the south west side of the bay where the trail starts. From this point, the walk takes approximately 5 minutes to the Germans' Beach and 25 minutes to Las Grietas.
Be careful and follow the indicated path as it passes through several private properties.
