Located in the hill Itchimbía, this park is a space of great cultural activity. Because it is located on a hill, towards the eastern side of the Historical Center, it offers a 360 degree view of the city. The Itchimbía Cultural Center is inside the park and was built with the metallic structure of the old market of Santa Clara. There are exhibitions, fairs, music festivals and social gatherings.
The Park occupies the top and the slopes of the hill of Itchimbia, is surrounded by traditional neighborhoods such as El Dorado, La Tola and San Blas. If the sky is clear you can see the city, the valleys of Turubamba and Tumbaco, the Pichincha, the Cayambe, the Antisana, the Atacazo, the heart and the Illinizas.
The Park offers spaces for sports, cultural and recreational activities. Visitors will find basketball courts, soccer, hiking or biking trails, spaces for aerobics or dance therapy, outdoor gym machines, green spaces for camping or resting, 22 cabins with a grill, traditional children's games and the one that most calls The attention of the children is a mini tarabita.
