The parish Guayzimi, is an urban parish and cantonal head of the canton Nangaritza, province of Zamora Chinchipe. It is located on the vast valley of Bajo Nangaritza, on the banks of the river of the same name. Guayzimi is an important parish of the province, with a large population. It is located on the heart of the jungle in a farming and agricultural area. To access it there is a secondary highway of the great Amazonian trunk, which begins in Zumbi and ends in the Alto Nangaritza.
It has a beautiful Central park adorned with native trees of the area, parochial church near it and a beautiful municipal coliseum.
Around the same there are several tourist attraction sites such as:
-Minas de Guayzimi a recommended route for hiking and to have contact with the mining reality of the province. In order to know the mines that are currently being open, there is a second order road that connects Guayzimi with the Nambija mines. The effects of pollution and deforestation left by the exploitation of these mines are seen in the streams of water and mountains.
Section Zumbi-Guayzimi. It is a stretch of the Via Zumbi-Guayzimi-Zurmi, the main road that connects and crosses the Sentinel cantons of the Condor and Nangaritza. In its slopes are a diversity of orchids especially the genus Sobralia. Close to reach Guayzimi in the neighborhood of La Güintza you can find the borders of the road, a variety of heliconiáceas and Zingiberaceae that adorn the crossing.
To access the population you must take the Amazonian trunk from Zamora to the north, Camino Morona Santiago.
