There are 54 hectares of forest with trails and a wildlife center where you can find recreation areas and basic infrastructure for the best enjoyment of visitors.
It began as a necessity due to the lack of green spaces for its inhabitants. It is physically linked to the built-up urban area, the riverbed of the Tahuando River and the hills of Loma Mirador and Alto de Reyes.
From the terrestrial terminal of Ibarra you can take a taxi to the lower part of the forest, then from there the road is by walking trails, since the access of vehicles to the high parts of the forest is not allowed
