Guallabamba zoo
- Guayllabamba a 29 Km. de Quito.
In this place is the country's largest collection of native fauna open to the public. Most of this fauna comes from the old Zoo of the Military College, which has been added several animals resulting from trafficking.
It keeps on display more than 40 species among which are monkeys, felines, parrots, and foreign animals such as lion and kangaroo and is currently the most visited educational / recreational space in Ecuador.
From the Metro station in the Ofelia, you must take the interprovincial buses of green color such as: The Cooperativa Pichincha or the Cooperativa Flor del Valle, any of these buses that transits in the Panamericana Norte, from there you must take a van or a taxi that will take you to the Guayllabamba Zoo.
It is reached with interprovincial buses (Cayambe or Otavalo) in half an hour from Quito to Guayllabamba. Here you can rent a van for 1 US $ per person to get to the zoo
