Travel Information:
Each journey takes approximately 2 hours. The boats have a capacity up to 31 passengers. Ferries in Galapagos operate 365 days a year and you can purchase the ticket online for any of these routes. You can also buy $ 30 on site, however, there may not be a seats available for the jourey and date you need.
Normally, boats deliver life jackets and water during the journey. The boats are not in the harbor so you have to rent a water taxi to get them. The price of water taxis is $ 1 per person. Before boarding, harbor agents will check the luggage of all passengers in order to control the species traffic in the Galapagos islands. This process takes approximately 30 minutes, so it is recommended to be 30 minutes before the departure time of the boat.
Extra tip:
Between May and October the sea is stronger so the boats jump more than in the rest of the year. In this case, it is recommended to take a dizziness tablet before boarding. The ride can be a bumpy specially for kids.
