The heart of La Mariscal is located in Plaza Quinde - known as "Plaza Foch" by locals - at the intersection of Mariscal Foch and Reina Victoria streets. Bars, restaurants and cafes are immersed in a festive atmosphere that brings out the cosmopolitan side of Quito. With live music on weekends, this is the main fun meeting point in the area. On Saturdays, the Asara fair, of the Association of Applied Arts, is where dozens of artisans and artists exhibit works in wood, tagua, glass, fabric, leather or recycled paper. In addition, organic products are offered, such as jams, chocolate and honey-based cosmetics.
