Bordering the city is located in the Barrio Obrero, an ecological trail of 2 and a half kilometers, known as the Tourist Walk, this was the first tourist resort that was created in the province of Pastaza with ecological and natural vision built by the Municipality of City, the sector is public property.
At the entrance to the promenade, in the working-class neighborhood, there is a park with sports courts and children's playgrounds as well as a small seafront by the river. There is a viewpoint of about 30 meters high where you can have an aerial view of the humid tropical forest of the place. There are several shops where you can try the typical traditional dish known as the voltetero also. If you are heading towards the suspension bridge your adventure through this nice ecological trail will have started.
This natural trail is full of plant species typical of the eastern region, the path is adapted for a quiet and pleasant walk even if you are not accustomed to jungle walks. The tour is a very good option for those who seek to enjoy nature in a safe and quiet environment.
If you plan to take this route from beginning to end, plan the return as the end of the journey leaves you 2 kilometers from the city of Puyo on the road to Tena, taking a taxi is a good option although there is the local bus service Back to the city. The tour is free and open access until 19 hours every day all year.
