Española island Galapagos
Española is undoubtedly one of the most important and amazing islands of the Galápagos. Visiting this island is a privilege as it constitutes a journey into the past where the natural and pristine state of the Galapagos Islands can be appreciated at its best. Those lucky enough to visit this island will enjoy a great diversity of wildlife among land and marine birds, reptiles and sea lions.
The percentage of endemism of the Española Island is very high. Therefore, here there is the possibility of enjoying wildlife in its purest state. This is one of the reasons why Española has become one of the most attractive and rewarding destinations in the Galápagos.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Due to the strong equatorial sun it is recommended to use sunscreen, wear a cap or hat and bring water to hydrate. In addition, visitors should carry a light jacket in case there is wind while sailing.
The only way to get to Española is to hire a tour at a local agency. The tour includes transportation, naturalist guide, lunch, drinks, snacks, towels, snorkeling equipment.
