The zoo is a reserve of around 10 hectares that encourages the conservation and rescue of animals in danger of extinction or that have remained in captivity. There are about 48 species of animals among fish, birds, reptiles, monkeys, mammals, crocodiles, turtles and even a pair of lions rescued from a circus.
With the entrance ($ 3, 1 hour) you have the right to a guide who will give you a very detailed explanation around the roads of the zoo.
BY BUS:
The zoo is located a few meters from the entrance to the community of Cotundo.
If you are in the Tena or Archidona you can take any bus that goes to Baeza or Quito and the driver is told to leave you in the place.
