El Angel city - Ecuador
(3000 MSL, 1 hour to El Ángel Ecological Reserve)
El Ángel city is a small village located in the Andean paramo north of Ecuador. Its central park is sculpted with cypress trees in different forms. There are basic hotels and food, with makes El Angel ideal as center to visit the amazing El Angel Ecological Reserve and its surroundings.
Its main touristic attractions are: lookout Bellavista, Church El Ángel, monuments La Botijuela y Milenio, hotspring La Calera and the archaeological museum. El Angel city is the starting point to visit the entrances "Voladero" and "Salado" of the El Ángel Ecological Reserve.
There are public transportation between El Angel and the main cities of Ibarra and Tulcán. Most of the times, the services is from 6am to 6pm with one bus every hour.
From Ibarra to El Angel ($1.6, 90 min, 66Km, Bus company Espejo every hour)
From Tulcán to El Angel ($2, 100 min, 75Km, Bus company Mira every hour)
