The Devil's Crown is a semi-submerged rock formation located north of Punta Cormorant on Floreana Island. This is a wonderful place to snorkel and dive as you can see a variety of fish, sea lions, moray eels and some species of sharks.
The best way to get to the Devil's Crown is to hire a daily diving tour from the islands of Santa Cruz or San Cristóbal. This tour has an approximate cost of USD 150 in a speedboat and USD 200 in a yacht. The tour includes transportation, guide, equipment and lunch. Generally these tours stop at Punta Cormorant.
There are also tours that spend a night in Floreana and include visits to Post Office, Heaven of Peace, Corona del Diablo and Punta Cormorant. These tours must be hired at a tourist agency.
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended to bring water and something to eat. Due to the strong equatorial sun we recommend the use of sunscreen and hat, and wear a light jacket. Finally, it is recommended to follow the instructions of the captain of the boat and the naturalist guide.
