Cotopaxi Volcano - Ecuador
Cotopaxi volcano provides a beautiful panoramic view, it encloses a landscape that covers the vegetation cover on its slopes, it is observed mineral traits of ancient volcanic eruptions, in its oriental skirts there is a refuge where it allows to own and visitors a view that encompasses the valley and the lagoon of Limpiopungo where there are wild ducks. To go up you have to ask permission to the authorities of Cotopaxi National Park. The Cotopaxi volcano is the highest and most active in the world.
It is located in the central Cordillera of the Ecuadorian Andes at 62 km northeast of Latacunga and 75 km southeast of Quito. From Cotopaxi National Park, the tours to the volcano begin.
