Colta lagoon
Called "Kultacucha" in the Quechua language, it is located around 24Km south of Riobamba and is the Colta lagoon. The main road divides the indigenous town of Colta to the west and the lagoon of Colta to the east. It is a reserve of flora and fauna that houses the traditionally known "totora".
