It is located 10 kilometres west of the city of Azogues, in the western foothills of Cerro eponymous, in the parish of Cojitambo.
The archaeological site of Cojitambo, located in the Cerro of the same name, 11 km from Azogues, is formed by an extensive complex of ruins, that rise on the summit Amesetada and the flanks north and west of the hill, adapting to the morphological characteristics of the terrain.
The structures of Cojitambo are of solid construction based on blocks edged of andesite rock, placed one on the other forming natural rows, united with mortar of black earth and fill of masonry.
By car or taxi 8 km from the city of Azogues, by an asphalted secondary road and then 20 of hike.
