The Museum of the City is located in Quito, Ecuador, in the colonial center of Quito, in García Moreno Streets E1-47 and Rocafuerte. It was founded in 1998, and occupies the infrastructure of what was the San Juan de Dios Hospital, an establishment that has been considered a World Heritage Site by Unesco. The museum, focused on the daily life of the people of Quito through history, in its permanent exhibition shows the historical and social processes that the first inhabitants lived.
