Chambo is a canton of the province of Chimborazo in Ecuador. It is located northwest of the province. It has a surface of 163 km2, which represent 2.5% of the surface of the province of Chimborazo. The main watercourses that cross the canton are the rivers Chambo, Daldal and Timbul. It also has the Rocón lagoon.
Chambo is one of the first settlements of the Puruha nationality despite this, the formalities for its cantonization are carried out from 1,940 until obtaining the full official recognition on March 18, 1988.
Despite having a small surface, its importance lies in the geographical location, the diversity of climatic floors and the rich agricultural and livestock production.
It has several natural tourist attractions, among which can be mentioned: thermo-medicinal waters of Guayllabamba or Aguallanchi, which are located 12 km from the center, in the sector San Francisco de Chambo; Resorts, as a tourist complex Mirador "La Piscina" belonging to the Gad Chambo; El Vergel, La Pampa, Rancho Willy, also has the Laguna de Rocón, Los Cubillines, and the primary forest LEONÁN of LLUCUD.
