Both the church and the Juan de Salinas central park are two attractions that form an incomparable architectural ensemble; the Church of Sangolquí is a construction that dates from the beginning of the previous century, harmoniously emphasizes its facade, the columns and the typical tympanum of the Greek architecture with the turrets and niches of Roman court, next to this is the Chapel of San Francisco , built on the ruins where the first parish church was built.
The centenary houses with their beautiful and colorful details in their facades are the frame of the Juan de Salinas Central Park, in whose center is the stone pool that was the whole Colony as a silent witness of our history in the Plaza Grande of Quito. Valid merits, so that on March 27, 1992, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage declares the center of the City of Sangolquí as "CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE NATION".
