Cedars reserve - near Nanegalito
It is located in the Cordillera de Toisan, in the area of influence of the Choco Forest and the Cotacachi-Cayapas reserve.
This private reserve is of great scientific importance because of its biodiversity, in this area two of the most important areas of megadiversity, with a large number of own species, of plants and animals, mainly of amphibians and birds, are superimposed.
More than 215 species of birds have been identified in their forests, 180 species of orchids, some discovered here, and a great diversity of amphibians and mammals, among which the Spider monkey, in danger of extinction, stands out.
