Canoa is a small town north of Bahía de Caráquez perfect for surfing, relax time and seafood. With dry and warm water, surfing in Canoa is one of the biggest attractions. The high surfing season is between December to February when you can catch the biggest waves. However, it is posible to surf and take surf lessons ($20, 1.5 hours) or surf board rent ($3 per hour, $12 per day) all year around. At the beach, you can rent small boards ($1.5 per hour) and hammocks ($2 per day).

Almost 20Km beach connects Canoa with “Boca de Briceño” and "San Vicente". In this long beach you can find the perfect place to relax and get away from noise. Try to avoid holidays because there is crowded and more expensive. Many people are fishermen which means you can get fresh seafood and delicious dishes at affordable prices.
