Ayampe beach
Ayampe is located 17 Km south of Puerto Lopez in Manabi. It is well know because of the natural beauty of the place and the calm beach. From Ayampe one can access the Ahorcados islet, where you can observe birds and the beautiful landscape. The transportation by boat needs to be arranged with the fishermen or the operators on site. Snorkeling and diving tours can also be hired.
It is possible to take any bus covering the routes to Manta, Puerto Lopez, Montanita or Salinas and take of in Ayampe. From Puerto Lopez it is half an hour. From Guayaquil you may take a bus to Salinas, and from there any covering the mentioned locations. By car from Guayaquil take the road to Salinas and exit towards San Vicente and head north to Ayampe.
