Arapicos waterfalls - Sucua

MORONA SANTIAGO-SUCUA

                                                The waterfalls of Alto Arapicos are located to the north in the limit with the corner Morona in the sector of Alto Arapicos. Located to the northwest of the Sucúa canton, distributed in the Eastern Cordillera, the waterfalls that are are the Union, Palmito, Gallo de la Peña, Cueva de los Tayos, Platanillo and Chiriapi, the area presents a rather irregular topography, surrounded by Hills with very steep slopes, the soils are moist and have a large amount of yellow clay.

Of the set of waterfalls the biggest one is the Sunka waterfall, they are distributed vertically, the fall of its waters forms small streams, the waters that form the waterfalls lower of the Eastern mountain range, they are interconnected with one another by means of streams And in the end they form the river Arapicos.
