Aquatic park Guayaquil

The northern Linear Park was inaugurated by the Cabildo Porteño in July 2011 as part of the Mega Urban regeneration project. Project that advanced with a new stage of the park that reached the naval Base San Eduardo and that was inaugurated on July 14, 2012.
It is a park with multiple attractions and multifunctions. The area extending in more than four kilometers (4200 meters), it has a complex of aquatic games (towards the avenue Barcelona), among which protrude: two slides, mushrooms and jets of water that pour from a bucket located in the upper part, in addition to traditional infantile games that include two houses of wooden games.
It also has sports courts, including two Indor football, two futsal, one basketball and one volleyball, exercise area with fitness equipment and cycle track. The North Linear park has been transformed into one of the favorite spaces for athletes and cyclists due to its extension, to the squares equipped for gimnasticas activities, and the natural environment it provides.
The park also offers an ecological and nature environment, with mangrove preservation areas in which marine fauna and endemic plant species of great ecological interest are appreciated, where there are areas of seating and contemplation, gardeners, seating walls and four metal pergolas. It is also part of a concrete pier with a ramp articulated to a floating pier.
In the park, there is also space for art and culture. Throughout its extension you can see beautiful sculptures made by various artists such as the sculpture of Horse head of Yela Loffredo of Klein, sculpture of catfish of Jose Antonio Cauja and sculpture Flight of Bird of Manuel Velasteguí. In addition there are three new monumental stained glass windows by Edgar Cevallos, which collect representative histories of the city and Illustrious heroes. These carry by name, in their order, "Guayaquil for the Fatherland", "Olmedo" and "Guayaquil more City".
