AmaZOOnico is a wild animal rescue center located in the Ecuadorian Amazon that rehabilitates, reintroduces and cares for wild animals victims of illegal trafficking.
On organized excursions, visitors can observe free-ranging animals that are rarely seen in close proximity such as cats, bears and reptiles
By Bus: From Tena, go to the Jumandy or Sentinel terminals. Take a bus to Puerto Barantilla ($ 2.50 / 1.5h).
By private car: from Tena take the road to Ahuano. When you get to Y de Ahuano, continue straight until Puerto Barantilla (45min).
In Puerto Barantilla take a canoe to amaZOOnico ($ 5 / 15min).
